I Can See Clearly Now…

After I dropped the kids off at school this morning, I headed for the office in peace and quiet. I turned the radio on and Jimmy Cliff’s rendition of “I Can See Clearly Now”, came on. I haven’t heard it in a long time. All of a sudden I started singing and really felt the message. I remembered my days of battling infertility and other challenges and how real this song is for me. As I swayed to the reggae beat, I noticed that the sky was crystal clear blue and the sun warm. I smiled and I felt the the pressures of the world subside. I said a little prayer of thanks for getting me through the rough patches and all the hard work and determination. When you are surrounded by fog it’s hard to see good times or an end to the rough patch; but if you keep the faith, one day, all of a sudden, you’ll come out of the clouds and feel the relief. Really. If you let it happen, you’ll feel it. If feels great. It does happen, if you believe. Attitude is everything. If you can’t feel it right now, keep this in the back of your mind. One day you’ll feel the relief and I hope you feel as great as I did singing this song.
